The new Netflix series Love Is Blind is different from other dating reality shows in that it doesn’t introduce us to all the people on the cast; we only learn about the ones who end up finding love.

There are many cast members who we never really meet. There’s others who we barely see. There’s Rory Newbrough, who makes his best impression of a sixth-place finisher on The Bachelorette and gives all the guys advice without actually falling in love. There’s Westley Baer, who does even less but has a unique name so he’s less difficult to remember. Then there are a ton of ancillary characters who make little to no impact on the game. The only contestant who didn’t get engaged but still received a sizable edit was Lauren “LC” Chamblin. But that was because Matt Barnett couldn’t make up his mind about who to get engaged to.

Thanks to this Heavy’s journalistic work, we can find out a little about each contestant since most of them disappeared from our screens much too quickly. Many of them have Instagram pages with thousands of followers, even if those followers are not due to the exposure on the show. In all, there were 30 people who started on the show. Six decided to take the next step and get engaged. After Carlton Morton and Diamond Jack broke up in Cancun, that number was whittled down to 10.

Even among the remaining contestants, we know much more about some than others. For instance, we have seen plenty from the tenuous relationship of Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas. We have seen much less from the couples of Damian Powers and Giannina Gibelli and  Kenny Barnes and Kelly Chase. That leaves the audience to wonder and pick apart why some relationships received a lot more screen time, especially before the pairs departed for Cancun.

It could spell doom for the lesser edited couples or it could mean their journey to the altar will come with less fanfare and destruction than the others. The center of the drama thus far centers around the tease of a potential lingering love triangle between Barnett, Batten and Cuevas. There’s also the question of whether Lauren Speed’s family will accept Cameron Hamilton, the first white guy she’s ever dated. It is possible that every remaining couple gets married. It is also possible - and probably much more reasonable - if none of them get married.
