Love Is Blind fans have compared Jessica to 90 Day Fiancé train wreck Darcey Silva. Frankly, both women are questionable in their quest for love and should reevaluate how they move forward in future relationships.

Netflix released a reality dating show called Love is Blind the day before Valentine’s Day. The premise of the show was for singles to try and find a significant other to fall in love with; the only catch is the singles must do this without ever laying eyes on one another. Viewers will watch as the couples try and form an emotional connection without the interruption of physical attraction. With both Love Is Blind and The Circle, Netflix veered from its usual layout and released each episode in chunks instead of the first season at once.

For Netflix’s new overnight hit, Love is Blind, viewers have watched one contestant slowly turn into a bit of a train wreck. Jessica Batten has arguably turned into one of the most vital cast members on the show. She is essentially a mirror who is forcing viewers to look at how laughable everyone is during past relationships. Jessica has made herself at home in fans’ hearts as she represents what normal people allow themselves to be put through at the hands of a lover. Now, for some audiences, the new reality star is a bit over the top; case and point her sexy baby voice. What man in his right mind is attracted to that sound? (We are looking at you, Matt Barnett and Mark Cuevas). The love triangle between herself, Barnett, and Amber Pike seemed a bit too desperate before she chose to be with Cuevas. The idea of beautiful women trying to duke it out with mind games and high-pitched voices is more than some viewers want to embrace, but it did make for good television. Sadly, the most upsetting characteristic of Jessica is the fact that she thought it was okay to feed her dog red wine; it is not.

While Silva from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise is a piece of work entirely crafted by her insecure thoughts. The 45-year-old makes multiple desperate attempts to stay with her original foreign boyfriend, Jesse Meester, even though it was evident to viewers he had a control issue. The Dutchman accused her of being an alcoholic and too needy, multiple times, which often left her distraught. While Darcey would throw all, she had at a relationship she often lost a part of who she was. She did not fare much better in her second-long distance relation with Tom Brooks as right away she brought up the idea of marriage, which made Brooks pump the brakes. The idea of a middle-aged woman who dressed in designer labels filled her lips within an inch of their life, and then would break down over the tiniest of miscommunication was not attractive to anyone.

It would have been nice to see both women be more independent of themselves and not try to change for their love interest. A sexy baby voice may work for some men, but it grated on fans of the show; the same goes for Darcey, who needs to lay off the damsel in distress card and stand up for herself.
