Jessica from Love is Blind gave her dog wine and here’s why that’s not OK. Not only that, but the season 1 villain even continued to drink from the same glass after her dog was filmed lapping up the vintage with his big, wet doggy tongue.
Viewers of the hit Netflix dating show were shocked to see the controversial participant tip her glass and allow her pet to have a sip. Jessica didn’t miss a beat; she just kept on drinking and talking right after the incident. The moment was especially funny/shocking/noteworthy giving the seriousness of the conversation she was having with her fiancé, Mark. Jessica’s baby voice and indecisiveness throughout the season made her an instant target for fans of the show. However, this new stumble has echoed through social media like a scream in a canyon.
One viewer tweeted (via Buzzfeed): “Jessica on love is blind ‘he’s very emotionally available and that’s a red flag to me’ as she casually lets her dog drink wine out of her glass… LIKE WHAT????” Another also took Jessica and her psychological stability to task: “This is the most dynamic moment of TV I’ve seen in a long time - from Netflix’s “Love is Blind.” A guy telling his fiancé, who he met the week before, that he’s mentally stable while she feeds her dog wine and tells him that she’s not his mom. So much to unwrap in ten seconds.” Check out the moment in a tweet below:
What made the moment even more cringe-worthy was that Jessica was calling into question Mark’s sanity for entering into their relationship at such a young age. Meanwhile, she seemed tipsy herself and completely unfazed by the cameras or the fallout that might come from other animal lovers. As news of Jessica’s “I share. Don’t care” antics rippled through the Internet, experts and dog lovers weighed in on the fact that grapes can be toxic to canines. An expert also corresponded with Buzzfeed and noted that getting a dog inebriated could be confusing for the animal and lead to emotional distress.
Jessica from Love is Blind demonstrated she’s a woman with a number of quirks and idiosyncrasies. Not only did she feed wine to her dog, but she’s also the person who fell in love with a stranger while in a pod, then proceeded to spend the rest of her time on the show convincing herself that she was actually interested in him. It also goes without saying that Jessica spent a lot of time inebriated on the show. Either that, or she’s simply prone to slurring her speech while delivering self-indulgent diatribes punctuated with bleary-eyed stares. Her relationship with her dog is the least of her troubles after fans determined that she was just too shallow to be a part of the Love is Blind process. Maybe now that he has a confirmed taste for the stuff, she and her dog can drink to forget the experience she had on the show altogether.
