What happened to Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas on Love Is Blind after the Netflix show wrapped up? Hardly anyone was surprised when Jessica turned Mark down at the altar, since she never really seemed that into him.

Netflix decided to release a dating reality show of their own called Love is Blind. The premise of the show is for singles to try and find a significant other to fall in love with; the only catch is the singles must do this without ever laying eyes on one another. Viewers watched as the couples tried to form an emotional connection without the interruption of physical attraction. Netflix is veering from its usual layout and releasing each episode in chunks instead of the first season at once.

The audience followed along with each new episode as one contestant slowly turned into a bit of a mess thanks to a lover’s square. For Netflix’s new overnight hit, Love is Blind, fans were included in the mess web spun by Matt Barnett as he tried to woo three women during the pod dating sessions. Barnett first spoke with Amber Pike, then Jessica, and lastly LC. The young man used his flirting skills to tempt all three into liking him, but he did not know who he wanted to continue a relationship with. For a split-second, fans are led to believe that he will propose to Jessica but in the end, he chooses Amber. Jessica, who had been talking to Mark, was left blindsided and hurt, forcing herself to try again with Mark. She started to pick fights with Mark and make him feel insecure as she continually pointed out how hot Barnett was. She tries to use the 10-year age difference as an excuse.

During the episode, fans watched as Jessica prepared for her wedding day. After a rocky start, it remained possible that Jessica had indeed found love with Mark. Standing at the altar, Jessica revealed her undying love for her potential future husband. But in a turn of events, the 34-year-old decided that the she was just not ready to commit. Since the show aired, the couple has not continued their relationship, according to USA Today. Jessica admitted she did not date for a while after starring on the reality show but has slowly eased her way back into the dating life. She made the move from Atlanta to L.A., as she claimed dating in Atlanta was not easy.  Mark, on the other hand, has remained single since filming has stopped and decided to focus more of his attention on perfecting his personal trainer qualities.

The reunion is set to air next week and fans are looking forward to the ex-couple’s interactions. Jessica has been in the media for some of her questionable antics. Mark still stands up for her, saying she is a good person. Netflix fans are curious to see if he still acts the same way towards her when they meet up again with the other couples.
