While it is still not readily available for purchase, 2013 Mac Pro shipping dates are gradually starting to improve since it debuted in late December last year. You still can’t walk in to an Apple Store or similar retailer and walk out with a new Mac Pro, but you might just get it in less than a month from the time you order it. Shipping estimates from Apple.com have dropped down to three to five weeks for the first time since the new machine debuted at the end of last year; previous shipping estimates pegged shipping at five to six weeks…

Shipping estimates are bound to stabilize eventually, but quick availability has not yet been a marquee feature of the powerful Mac Pro.

A number of reasons could be associated with the lack of availability and gradual increase in ship dates. The 2013 Mac Pro is the first modern Mac line to be assembled in the United States, for example, and it’s the first major refresh to the high-end Mac line in several years sparking higher-than-usual demand.

It’s unclear if Apple is getting better at making these faster or if demand is starting to be more generous to Apple’s supply, but there’s still room for improvement for availability yet.
