The new beta versions of iOS, tvOS and macOS include new detailed information about privacy and Apple’s services, designed to help users understand which data is collected and how that data is used. Digging through macOS 10.13.4, I noticed that it included privacy information for a Podcasts app, which is currently only available on iOS (on macOS, podcasts are bundled in iTunes). This privacy information indicates that a user’s podcast listening is linked to a random device identifier which is synced through iCloud in a way that cannot be linked to other Apple services....

The Log4j flaw (also now known as “Log4Shell”) is a zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228) that first came to light on December 9, with warnings that it can allow unauthenticated remote code execution and access to servers. Ally Bank today announced that its customers can now use Apple Pay with Ally-issued cards. Before today, Ally Bank was among the list of major national banks in the United States without support for Apple Pay.
